Towards a Healthier Gold Coast
GCH Research Week
Gold Coast University Hospital
28 -30 Nov 2017
In this time and era, providing excellence in sustainable and evidence based healthcare that meets the needs of the community is of paramount importance. Supporting healthy families through illness prevention programs and health promotion; continuing to improve access to a range of quality and culturally appropriate services; remaining dedicated to excellence in patient care. Keeping these goals in mind and a further aim at delivering better health outcomes for the Gold Coast through strong research collaborations, Gold Coast Health clinicians and researchers partnered with academics from Griffith, Bond and Southern Cross universities for a three-day conference.
Across the three days, conference attendees participated in 10 themed sessions ranging in topic from changing service delivery, to building workforce capacity and supporting healthy habits. A series of workshops were also held focusing on building research capability and a public forum on dementia caregiving and technology. The Intergenerational Care Project Team was invited to present on our research. The audience were engaged with our research during and after the presentation. (more…)
